Tablescaping: Decorating with wine bottles and air plants
I love styling with airplants and am always looking for fresh, fun new ways to recycle objects as planters. I recently had some wine bottles (and some liquor bottles) cut out in the front of the bottle only....do not try this at home! It takes 3 saws and a sander to smooth the edges - but it's worth it! I can then plant these with air plants - I used some spanish moss as a filler to hold the plants in place. Shown here are 2 different pieces; one has airplants: a stricta, a cap medusa and a bulbosa butzi. The other shown has 2 succulents planted in a soil mixture with moss.  I have one on my patio table, but it'd be at home in the kitchen, a bar. I'd love to hear where you'd put yours!
